Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. Why should my son come to your camp over other camps in this area?
A. We specialize in infield and hitting. We take time to break down every aspect of infield and hitting and pay close attention to the smallest of detail. We drill like nobody’s business! Coach Eilmes played for and is a protege of Seattle's Bill Stubbs. If you don't know who Coach Stubbs is, look him up. He has developed and coached countless players who have reached major college and professional levels. Coach Eilmes brings, from Stubby, the most current drills and techniques used at the highest levels of the game. Our camps are very instructional and very competitive and both of these traits help develop infielders. If you need more reasons why our camps are better, take a look at our testimonials from proven high level baseball people and you will know which direction to go when it comes to your child improving on the game of baseball.

Q. Can my son attend your camp(s) if he is just a beginner in baseball?
A. If your son has the ambition to get better and has some concept of the game of baseball, then he is more than welcome to attend camp(s).

Q. How do I know which camp(s) to choose for my child?
A. If your child has never been to one of our summer camps, we recommend our "Total" and "Middle Infield" camps. If your child has been to our summer camps in the past and/or plays on a select team, we recommend our "Playmaker" and "Double Play Specialty" camps. Our Total and Middle Infield cover more general infield play touching on the basics to the more advanced and everything in between. The Double Play and Playmaker are very specific to the name. Anyone is welcome to sign up for our Hitting lessons and out of season Infield sessions. However, those are very limited and fill up very fast. If you are still unsure which camp is best for your child just give us a call and we'll help you pick the right one(s).

Q. How many camps should my son attend?
A. Infield play is about repetition. The more double plays turned, the more deflections, the more ground balls he can take the better he will become. We recommend attending as many camps as you can. We are constantly adding new camps. In fact, we are now running camps and/or lessons year round in order to accommodate everyone's schedule. The good ones attend at least 2 camps annually. The best infielders don't miss a camp. Our goal is to find kids who are driven to improve and want to put in the time and effort it takes to be the best infielder around. Once we find those kids we will do our best to help them develop into possible prospects. So how many camps should a player attend? That's up to you.

Q. Can my son come to your camp if he is left handed?
A. YES! Lefties can attend any HITTING CAMP we offer. A lefty would not be a good fit for our specialized infield only camps as you never see lefties playing infield at the high school level.

Q. What should my child bring with him to camp?
A. The first thing every individual needs to bring to an infield camp is a baseball glove and if he/she has one, a bat to a hitting camp. Each participant should look like a ball player and wear a baseball hat. Our outdoor camps are on natural turf so spikes (plastic or metal) are recommended. Our Spokane Shock Center indoor camps are on field turf, so turf shoes are recommended. Baseball pants or sweats are good but we understand that shorts may be more comfortable. Parents, please mark all equipment with your child's name so there is no question as to whose piece of equipment is whose. Kids should bring some sort of fluid as our camps provide a good work out. So it is important to stay hydrated. Sun screen is also a good idea for the summer camps.

Q. How will I know you received my payment?
A. Once we receive your payment you will get notification via email. So it is important to print clearly on the registration form your email address. It is also a good idea to notify us by email that a payment is on the way. This way our secretary can be on the look out for the payment.

Q. Can my son come to your camp if he is 6 or 7 years old?
A. Maybe. You need to get pre-approval from Coach Eilmes. You can call him at 509.863.4605.

Q. What is your refund policy?
A. Money back guarantee! If your plans change and you can't make the camp in which you have signed up for, you can either accept a camp credit towards any future Premier Mitts camp of your choice or request your money back. Money is secondary to us. We want to make sure you are taken care of. If, for any reason, you are not happy with our services you can receive 100% of your money back. We are so confident in what we do, that we have a money back guarantee. Give us a try, you have nothing to lose.
